Job Summary

Responsibilities include creating drawings in Auto CADD and Solid Works for all necessary parts of the plant including structures, wire carriers and custom fabrication. Create nesting programs for laser and plasma cutting machines. Create drawings for customer presentation and approval.

Requirements

Experience:
2 years technical training
Experience:
3 years steel manufacturing experience or training preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3 years Auto Cad/Solid Works experience - 5 years experience preferred
Experience:
Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Education:
HS Diploma
Education:
AA degree in Mechanical/Engineering technology preferred

  • Must be able to use Auto CADD and Solid Works
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Must have good mathematical skills
  • Must have excellent communication and people skills and be able to communicate with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Must be able to quickly become familiar with current Fabritex Manufacturing data base system for material inventory, work orders and labor data entry.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting: Long periods of sitting at a desk or workstation are required.
  • Repetitive Motion: Frequent typing, keyboarding, and mouse usage.
  • Vision: Close visual acuity to view computer monitors, read, and analyze data.
  • Lifting/Moving: Occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling, usually up to 10-20 lbs (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Mobility: Occasional walking, standing, bending, and kneeling to use equipment like printers or file cabinets.
